Questions fréquentes
Do all dentists at the clinic speak English?
Several members of our team speak good conversational English — sufficient for clinical consultation and to discuss treatment options. When booking, please mention that you prefer an English-speaking dentist so we can assign the right practitioner.
Can you issue documents in English (certificate, insurance form)?
Yes, we can issue standard treatment certificates, receipts and insurance forms in English upon request. For more complex reports (e.g. detailed surgical report), allow a few days for translation.
Is dental treatment safe in New Caledonia?
Yes. New Caledonia follows French health regulations and standards. Our practice uses modern equipment (3D scanner, CEREC, sterilization to French/EU standards). The qualifications of dental practitioners are equivalent to French standards — most New Caledonian dentists are trained in France.
What if I need urgent care while travelling?
Call us immediately at +687 27 26 80. We keep emergency slots each day. If you’re calling outside our hours (Sunday, evening), contact the SAMU dentaire NC. For severe emergencies (major facial swelling, fever, breathing difficulty), go to the emergency room at CHT Gaston-Bourret hospital.
Will my international insurance cover the treatment?
Most international travel and expatriate health insurances cover emergency dental care abroad. Check with your provider before treatment. We issue detailed receipts (in English on request) suitable for insurance claims. Payment is usually expected on the day of treatment, then you claim reimbursement from your insurance.
